Lake Varpaisjärvi black is a magnificent fine-grained and evenly black stone. Varpaisjärven Black has the geological property of diabase. It is currently one of the most common gravestone materials. In addition to a glossy black surface, the stone can be given beautiful shades of colour with finishes such as matt-brushed, burnt, cross-hatched and chipped.
